Linsin is the principal of Linsin & Associates that was established in 2006.  He is a State Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser in both Kansas and Missouri and has been certified since 1995.  He is also a member of the National Association of Realtors

Linsin is actively involved in professional organizations.  He is currently serving a three year term on the Professional Standards Hearing Committee for the Kansas City Regional Associations of Realtors.  This was preceded by a three year term on the KCRAR Grievance Committee.  He was recently peer elected to serve a second consecutive three year term as a Board Member of the Kansas City Data Service.  Linsin has previously served as the board President. 

Linsin is an expert in all aspects of Residential Appraising and specializes in complex and/or high value assignments.  He is regularly engaged for expert witness and/or legal consulting services.  These include division of assets in divorce settlements, construction defects, and impact of stigma from influences including water/mold or fire damage.  Linsin is also an experienced corporate relocation appraiser and is approved by HUD for appraisals with FHA loans.  Linsin is reqularly engaged by realtors to complete pre-listing appraisals on properties that are a challenge to properly price. 

Linsin served as a contract appraisal reviewer for the Kansas Real Estate Appraisal Board from 2006-2018.  In this capacity Linsin performed pre license experience reviews and complaint reviews for the Board to ensure quality and USPAP compliance.  He was also required to provide testimony for those reviews should an issue advance to a hearing.  This position required Fraud Investigator Training presented by the Asociation of Appraiser Regulatory Officials.   

Linsin began his career as a District Appraiser for the Johnson County Appraiser's office and represented the county at the highest levels of the property tax appeals process including the State Board of Tax Appeals.  This provides a unique understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of the mass appraisal process that is beneficial in tax appeal appraisals.  As an independent appraiser, Linsin has been engaged to complete tax appeal appraisals by both tax payers and county assessors.
